For those of you who have visited here before, you may remember that I decorate the china cupboard in the Den for Christmas........
 For Winter.......
 And for St. Patrick's Day........
During the rest of the year, the china cupboard houses some of my red and blue transfer ware collection.......
This is the top of the china cupboard.......
A Birdcage.........
Light house.......
Victorian Ladies......
An angel and a Victorian flute cover hang on the china cupboard......
Some of my red and blue transfer ware pieces.......
Top shelf......
Middle shelf.....
Bottom shelf......
All these pieces were bought at yard sales, flea markets, estate sales and thrift shops......
The color theme in the Den is burgundy, blue, ivory and beige.......
So you can see that transfer ware goes nicely in this room.....
I kept seeing ads for Patriotic decor at Pier One and I was waiting for several items to be marked down on Clearance.......
After July 4th, I bought 2 putz houses and a set of bottle brush trees........
The houses are LED lighted and battery operated......
I thought they would fit in nicely with my transfer ware dishes.......

Here is the display that I set up underneath the china cupboard on 2 vintage suitcases......

Even when the houses are not lit up, the light reflects off the windows and doors which are covered with a crystal like paper.......
I hope you enjoyed seeing my china cupboard, my transfer ware collection and my new Buys from Pier One!!
I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......

  13. Ohh!!! This display has me itching to create some patriotic vignettes! LOVE the dishes, and your displays are worthy of a dozen magazines - better than a lot of stuff I see. A real feast for my eyes as I enjoy an afternoon cuppa.
