I am a Victorian Soul, live in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion, with my Hubby Joe, who is a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am LOVING Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

A Tribute to the Mother's in my Family.......

 HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY!!!!

My Craft Room is my "ME" room.....
I have my Mother's Display set up on one of the shelving units that houses my craft supplies......
These are photos of the women, the Mother's, who have created and shaped my family.......
And without them, my family would not exist......

Let me introduce you to them........
This is a photo of my Maternal Grandparents........ Paul and Mary.....
This is a photo of Joe's Maternal Grandparents on their Wedding Day, Rose and John.......
This sweet little book contains a Collection of Poems that pay tribute to Mother's......
This wedding photo is of Joe's Paternal Grandparents, Helen and John.......
And this is my parent's Wedding Photo........
Pauline and Frank.......
Joe's Parents, Joe and Eleanore.....
This mug was a gift that I once gave to my Mother on Mother's Day.....
My Paternal Grandparents, Agnes and Adam....
These are the people that came before, especially the Mother's, and shaped my family!!
In a corner of my bedroom.......
Another tribute to Mother's......
The tea pot belonged to Joe's Grandmother, Rose.......
I love these Home Interiors Figurines because they are Mother's , holding their baby boys and as a Mother of 2 sons, I thought they were perfect!!
I bought this at a yard sale for 25 cents......
And another Home Interiors picture.......
I am constantly inspired by and in awe of the Mothers in my family, both those who have passed on and those that are still living......

My sister, Barbara, who I have always called the "Eternal Mother"..............
She is a Mother of 5, Grandmother of 6 and Great Grandmother of 2 children!!!!
My BIL, John, with their 5 children........
Barb and my BIL John, with their grandchildren......
No Mother or Grandmother should ever have to deal with the loss of a child.......
Unfortunately, last August , my oldest Niece, Lisa, lost her only child Craig.......

This is Lisa, with her husband John, and Craig's children, Lisa's Grandchildren at Christmas.
These are my sister's Great Grandchildren.......
My Nephew John and his wife Renae and their 3 daughters.......
And my Niece, Lynn with her husband Ed and their children....
And Joe's Mom, Eleanore with Joe's Dad, Joe......
With Jim and Danielle in Washington, DC
These are the Mother's, that no matter what age, still inspire me with their love and dedication to their Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren!!

Two years ago, I wrote a Tribute to my Mom for Mother's Day.......
To read it, please click HERE......

For most of my life, my mother and I had what you could call a "Love/Hate" relationship but in the end, we both made amends for the sins of the past and when she passed away, neither one of us had any regrets.....

This is an excerpt from that post:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Now my Mom and I did not always get along and there were times when we did not speak to each other. .

In some ways, I am like my Mother but in many ways, I am NOT like her, learning not to make the same mistakes with my sons that she made with me.

She DID teach me to be a very strong woman, to make your own money and "NEVER be dependent on a Man for anything" even though her life did fall apart for awhile when my Dad died.

For many years, I blamed her for "Making me go and become a nurse like my sister" when Nursing was the LAST thing I wanted to do.

My Nursing career has seen me through many rough times and I would not have what I have today if not for my profession."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Because of  my Mother's insistence that I become a Nurse, Joe and I will be able to retire early at 62 years of age so I THANK her for that!!

I am off today and will be spending the day with the Loves of My Life.......
 My family!

 Jim and Joe
They are my greatest accomplishments in Life!!

And as a Mom, I am happy to have the addition of a Daughter-in-Love to my life....

Danielle.....
We couldn't be happier for our son, Jim!!

So I wish all of you a very Happy Mother's Day!!!

And I hope that you get to spend it with the ones that you love!!

I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
